Here there be found some pictures or other media of them boats I have happened to ride the waves on. Some more than longer, other less than short. Some of them still floating, some of them on dry land and some don’t exist anymore.
This was my old man’s boat, started going out as an able seaman straight after school at 16. It is now wormfood at this museum. It’s also apt that since my younger brother used many if my pictures in this video that I use his as well.
Built in Hafnarfjörður 1946, was bought by the family company in 1958 and was in service for about 51 years.
Former ICE-SAR rescue cruiser Hannes Þ Hafstein, service years between 1995 – 2010 in Iceland if my memory doesn’t fail me. German made and absolute champion in bad weathers. Really do miss this one.
